Minor Lab-on-a-Chip for Biomedical Applications

Lab-on-a-chip devices enable rapid, on-site analysis using only minimal fluid volumes through microfluidics. In this minor, you will follow lectures on the development of Lab-on-a-Chip technology, including material selection and fluid dynamics, and explore its applications in diagnosing, treating, and researching common diseases.

The program combines both theoretical and practical aspects relevant to Applied Science disciplines such as Biomedical Laboratory Research, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Forensic Science. You will design and develop a Lab-on-a-Chip for a selected biomedical application. Assessment is based on professional deliverables aligned with the development phase of your Lab-on-a-Chip project.
